ALIBARBAR built its name on high puff counts, so if you are looking for an ALIBARBAR alternative you are probably not trying to escape high-puff devices — you want the same idea with better availability, a wider puff range, or a lower cost per puff. This guide covers what to check before switching and which models make sense.
All prices on this page are per unit when buying a 10-pack, the basis every product listing on this site uses. A single unit costs more.
What “ALIBARBAR alternative” usually means
People search this for three reasons:
- Stock. The specific model they want is not available when they want it.
- More puffs. They like the concept and want to go further up the range.
- Price. They want the same longevity for less money per puff.
All three point the same direction: look at puff rating, rechargeability and cost per puff, in that order.
The three numbers that decide it
1. Rated puffs
The headline figure. Treat it as a comparison tool rather than a guarantee — ratings are measured on a machine with a fixed draw length, and real draws are longer. What holds up is the ratio between models: a 200K device lasts several times longer than a 50K one in your hand as well as on paper.
2. Battery and charging
Above roughly 20,000 puffs, every device is rechargeable — a single-use cell big enough for 100,000 puffs would be unmanageable. Look for Type-C, and expect to top up every few days of normal use.
3. Cost per 10,000 puffs
Price divided by puffs, scaled to 10,000. This is the only comparison that works across different ratings.
How our range compares
We carry 58 models from 12,000 to 500,000 puffs across the BANG King, BANG Blaze, BANG Legend, BANG Classic, QQBANG and VAPORSEA ranges, priced between A$20.19 and A$41.19 per unit in a 10-pack. Because the price band is narrow and the puff range is wide, cost per puff drops sharply as you move up.

Choosing by how long you want it to last
| If you want it to last… | Look at | Rough puff band |
|---|---|---|
| Around a week of moderate use | Entry models | 12K–30K |
| A month or more | Mid range | 50K–100K |
| Several months | Upper range | 120K–250K |
| As long as possible | Top of the range | 300K–500K |
Work out your own daily puff count first — light users sit near 100–150 a day, moderate users 200–300, heavy users 400 or more — then divide the rating by that number for days of use. Our puff count calculator guide walks through the arithmetic.
What to check on the product page before buying
- E-liquid volume in mL — should scale with the puff rating.
- Battery capacity in mAh — bigger means fewer charges, not more puffs.
- Coil type — mesh coils keep flavour stable much longer.
- Display — some models show remaining liquid and battery, which removes the guesswork.
- Airflow adjustment — changes how tight or airy the draw feels.
Reading a spec sheet
Product pages throw a lot of numbers at you. Here is what each one actually tells you:
| Spec | What it really means | Common misreading |
|---|---|---|
| Puff rating | A lab-measured comparison figure | Treating it as a guaranteed count — real draws are longer, so actual counts run lower |
| E-liquid (mL) | How much liquid is on board | Assuming more mL always means more puffs — coil efficiency varies |
| Battery (mAh) | How long between charges | Thinking a bigger battery gives more puffs — it gives fewer charging stops |
| Coil resistance (Ω) | Affects warmth and vapour volume | Comparing resistances across different coil types as if they were equivalent |
| Nicotine strength | Concentration in the liquid | Comparing strengths without accounting for how much vapour each device produces |
| Type-C charging | Rechargeable across the life of the device | Assuming you can vape while charging — check the individual model |
Mistakes people make when switching
- Buying the biggest rating available on the first go. If you end up disliking the flavour, you are stuck with months of it. Test the family on a 12K–30K device first.
- Never charging it. The single most common reason a high-puff device underperforms. A device that never sees a cable will not come close to its rating.
- Comparing unit prices across different ratings. Always divide by puffs. Within our range the price spread is under A$15 while the puff spread is more than fortyfold.
- Ignoring physical size. A 500K device is substantially larger than a 30K one. If it lives in a pocket, size matters as much as longevity.
- Assuming all coils behave the same. Mesh coils hold flavour consistency far longer than round wire, which is the difference between a device that tastes the same in month two and one that does not.
Getting the longevity you paid for
Three habits extend a high-puff device’s usable life more than anything else:
- Keep it charged rather than running it flat. Deep discharges stress the cell; top-ups are gentler.
- Leave gaps between draws. Chain vaping keeps the coil hot, which degrades flavour faster and wastes liquid as condensation.
- Store it upright and out of heat. A device left on a dashboard in summer will leak and lose liquid.
FAQ
Are higher puff counts actually accurate?
The rating is a lab measurement under standardised conditions. Real-world counts come out lower because people take longer, more frequent draws. Use ratings to compare models, not to predict an exact day of expiry.
Is the biggest model the best value?
Nearly always on cost per puff. Not always on upfront cost — if cash flow matters, mid-range models are easier to buy repeatedly.
Can I try one before committing to a large one?
That is exactly what the 12K–30K band is for. Test the flavour family, then buy the big one in a flavour you know you like.
Do you supply wholesale?
Yes. See wholesale supply, bulk ordering, or OEM and private label if you want your own brand.
